Greek Vinaigrette Dressing (w/ Red Wine Vinegar)

This Greek Vinaigrette Dressing recipe is easy to make and comes together in under 5 minutes! Made with red wine vinegar and and basic spices, this tangy dressing is perfect for salads, Greek gyros, quinoa bowls, and more.

Ingredients

  • cup canola oil
  • cup olive oil
  • cup red wine vinegar
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in jar and shake well.
    ⅔ cup canola oil, ⅓ cup olive oil, ⅓ cup red wine vinegar, ¾ teaspoon garlic powder, 1½ teaspoon dried oregano, ¾ teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon pepper

Notes

Tips & Tricks
  • Don’t skip the olive oil. It adds really great flavor that is missed when you just use canola oil. 
  • Give the dressing a really good shake each time before using to recombine the oil, vinegar, and seasonings.
 
Storage: Store in a sealed container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks. Be sure to check the color and smell of the dressing before use to ensure it is still good.
 
Servings: This recipe makes 1.25 cups of dressing, which yields twenty 2-tablespoon servings.
