How to Reheat Rice In Microwave

  • Place rice in microwavable plate, sprinkle on a teaspoon or two of water per cup of rice. Cover with a microwavable over or damp paper towel and heat for 1 minute. Give it a stir, then continue microwaving in 30-second bursts until it’s warmed through.

How To Reheat Rice In Oven

  • Place frozen rice in a baking pan. Sprinkle lightly with water (no more than ½ tablespoon per cup of rice). Cover tightly with tinfoil and bake at 300°F for 30-40 minutes or, if you have allowed it to partially thaw, at 300°F for 20-30 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork again. If needed, top with fresh ingredients depending on the recipe used (i.e. lime juice, cilantro, shredded coconut, green onions, etc).

How To Reheat Rice On Stove

  • Place the cooked rice in a nonstick skillet with a splash of water (about 1 tablespoons per cup of rice). Cover the pan tightly with a lid and warm over low heat. Stir occasionally, breaking up any clumps, until the rice is hot. Add a tablespoon more water at a time if it begins to look dry.

Notes

Tips & Tricks
  • Always add a bit of moisture when reheating rice, no matter which method you choose.
  • Make sure to cover the rice to lock in that moisture.
  • Use gentle heat and give it a stir halfway through to ensure it warms up evenly.
  • If serving a crowd, freeze the rice in a disposable baking pan. You can pull it straight from the freezer, bake it in the oven, and serve it all in the same pan.
