Ingredients for white chocolate churro popcorn
- Popcorn: I use an air popper to pop the kernels, but it can also be done in the microwave or on the stovetop.
- White chocolate chips: My go-to brand is Ghirardelli, but any brand will do just fine.
- Cinnamon: A little goes a long way!
- Sugar: Just simple granulated sugar.
How to make white chocolate churro popcorn
This recipe can be broken down into three simple steps. First, melt the white chocolate in the microwave and mix it into the popped popcorn. Then add the cinnamon sugar mixture while the white chocolate is still wet. Give it a good stir and then spread it on a sheet pan to set. It’s as simple as that.
For a crowd
This is a great recipe for a crowd since it is easy and cheap. If you double or triple the recipe, I suggest doing it in multiple batches (1 batch per large bowl) because it is challenging to mix more than one batch evenly in one bowl. Also increase the number of sheet pans you spread the popcorn on so that the chocolate can dry well. Use three sheets for a double recipe and four sheets for a triple recipe.
